We are very pleased to announce that two members of our Unit have gained thier Bronze D of E Award.
They have both worked hard to get it, and are already working towards thier Silver & Gold Awards.
We wish them luck in obtaining these prestigous awards.

Swimming Gala
Yet again we entered the Area Swimming Gala along with the Cubs and Scouts and we are pleased to announce that we did very well, and won the overall Venture Scout Trophy.
The Venture Scout leadership would like to congratulate all the Ventures who took part in this event.

GILT CROSS presented to Scouts
Last summer, five scouts (three of which are
now Ventures) were involved in an incident at Green Crag near Buttermere,
Since the incident, four of the boys have been awarded Scouting's third highest award for gallantry, THE GILT CROSS. It was presented to them at a special presentation at the Lord Mayor's Mansion House.(Click here for the full story)

Recruitment
When Green Crag VSU was formed, we knew that we needed more Venture Scouts in order to keep the unit going, so we are now starting a recruiting campaign to try and entice new members to the unit.
We are also hoping to recruit a new leader or two who want to lead the Ventures in acheiving their D of E Awards, and the Venture and Queen Scouts Awards.
