The Future
ANNUAL CAMP
This year, we are travelling to Holland with the Scouts for the Annual Camp. this was a joint decision of the PLC and our Executive Commitee.
In order to raise enough funds to subsidise the camp, we are actively fundraising in the area.

Fundraising for Camp
On the weekend of 17th & 18th December, we joined the scouts at the local Asda supermarket to do Bag-packing. We spent the whole weekend there with the scouts and venture scouts doing shifts so that we would have a minimum of 5 boys there at any oine time. (not including parents This event was extremely successful in raising funds. The total amout we raised was about £450 which will go a long way in helping us go to Holland.

Fundraising for Camp
On the weekend of 7/8th April, we were once again at ASDA Coryton bag-packing to raise funds to fund our camp to Holland. The total amount raised was over £950, which is almost a third of the funds we need. We would like to thank all the ASDA shoppers who donated money to us, and also to ASDA, Coryton, in letting us bag-pack in their store.

Grant for Kayaking equipment
Last year we applied, as the scouts, for a grant in order to purchase some kayaks and safety equipment. The grant was approved, and possibly this year, we are hoping to take the scouts and ventures canoeing. We are planning to work throught the BCU star award scheme, and so hopefully the boys will end up with their 1 star, if not their 2 star award.

Sailing
Over the last two years we have taken some of our scouts to Llanishen Reservoir to learn how to sail. This was a great success with the boys, and we hope to continue with it this year.
